About me
I live in Oakland, California with my wife, dog and two cats. I was born in Penang, Malaysia, grew up in Mysore, India, went to grad school in College Station, Texas, and lived 10 years in the greatest city on earth, New York City. In my spare time, I try (try being the operative word) to keep fit by running, climbing and boxing. I've also discovered a penchant for cooking, be it on the grill, the stove top, the air fryer (yes, I'm a convert) and most recently, the tagine. I'm an amateur brewer, and will forever stay that way, since brewing beer in a house chock-full of animal dander is not the best idea. I enjoy reading, cartooning, playing tennis, diving, and now thanks to my wife, the occasional camping trip (I grew up in India, we spent most of our time trying to get indoors).
Don't be fooled by those innocent faces. Rajah will chew on your toes while you sleep. Sultan likes hair-ties and loves going to the vet to get them surgically removed.
I dabble in cartooning, although not as much as I'd like. Someday I'll invest in an iPad Pro with a stylus, and then the world better watch out!
This adorable boxer loves semi-long walks, car rides, her stuffed animal and stealing croissants off the kitchen counter.
